Mike Barkley, Candidate for Congress
(c) 2011, Mike Barkley

I edited my posting entitled "Repeal the Right to Keep and Bear Arms" that I'd placed on the groundreport.com web site, adding two sentences to Section 3 of my proposed legislation, and appending the following appeal to reason at the end; when I went to post the edited version that version and the original disappeared completely, along with all the comments. I'm not sure why they did that since my comments are constructive and educational. Anyway, here is what I added at the end:
To those of you who had commented on my previous posting I apologize for losing those comments. Upon editing my post, ground report ground it up and it disappeared. Some of those comments included:

You guys might check out 18 USC Section 875(c) (see FindLaw web site for instance) and consider toning it down a bit. The appropriate response would be for you to run for Congress yourselves or lobby your own Congressman if you disagree with me. Note that if I had filed papers for the Office of President instead of for Congress, y'all would now be candidates for John W. Hinkley Jr.'s roommate.

Best wishes, --Mike
